何度もここで書いていますが、英語のイデオムを知っておくと、相手が言っていることが理解できますし、自分も言いたいことが一言で伝わります。
今回で何回目かわかりませんが、今まで書いたものも含めて是非、頭に入れて、使ってみてください。
まず、例文挙げますので、しらないものも、文脈の中でどんな意味か想像してください。
1. “Hit the sack”:
Example: “It’s been a long day. I’m going to hit the sack early tonight.”
2. “Up in the air”:
Example: “Our holiday plans are still up in the air because of the travel restrictions.”
3. “Piece of the pie”:
Example: “With the success of the company, everyone wants a piece of the pie.”
4. “Cut corners”:
Example: “If you cut corners on the construction materials, you might end up with safety issues later.”
5. “Break the mold”:
Example: “Her innovative approach to solving the problem really broke the mold.”
6. “Down to the wire”:
Example: “The project’s success was down to the wire, but we managed to complete it just in time.”
7. “In the same boat”:
Example: “We’re all in the same boat, struggling to understand this new software update.”

1. “Hit the sack”: To go to bed.

5.”Break the mold”: To do something in a completely new way.
Example: “Her innovative approach to solving the problem really broke the mold.”

6.”Down to the wire”: Something happening at the last possible moment.
Example: “The project’s success was down to the wire, but we managed to complete it just in time.”

7.”In the same boat”: In a similar situation or position to someone else.
Example: “We’re all in the same boat, struggling to understand this new software update.”
「この新しいソフトウェア・アップデートを理解するのに苦労しているのは皆同じだ。」
