さて、このchaGPTですが、英語学習にどんな風に使えるのでしょう？
1. 調べものをする。検索ではなく、答えをもらう。
日本語より、英語で入力して調べた方が間違いが少ないようです。
調べるときのコツは、具体的に質問をいれることです。
表にしてくれというとしてくれます。
例えば、ある生徒さんが、
「カトリックとプロテスタントの違いは何？」
と聞いてきたので、ChatGPTに
Explain how these two get divided as well.
と聞いて、その答えを生徒さんに送りました。
勿論、今の段階では間違っていることもあるので、鵜呑みにしてはいけません。
調べたものを、頑張って読んでみましょう。
自分が知りたいと思ったことで自分が調べたいものは、読む気がでますよね。
2. 単語の意味などを詳しく調べる
”What does insinuate mean?”と聞くと、
negative connotations. It can also mean introducing oneself gradually or subtly into a situation or conversation. For example:
He insinuated that I was lying, without actually saying it directly.
She insinuated herself into the group of friends by offering to help with their project.

細かい意味と、例文まで示してくれます。
3. summary(要約)を書いてもらう。
長い英語の文章のsummaryを書いてくれます。難しすぎたら、
「私が小学生のように、要約を書いてください」
とすれば大丈夫です。
4. 自分の書いた英語をチェックしてもらう。
ある日本人の学生の書いた、パラグラフを入れてみて、”Revise the following paragraph.”とコマンドを入れてやると、見事に直してくれます。
特に文法をチェックしてもらいたい時は、”Check the grammar of the following paragraph.”とコマンドをいれてみると、直してくれます。
それで終わりではなく、どこがどう直されているかを比べて、それをマスターすると力がつきます。
そうでないと、ただ、AIにやらせて「おしまい」になってしまいますね。
5. 人間とchatするように、chatできる。
